Guava Marinated Short Ribs
Grilled short ribs marinated in Trader Joe's guava jam, soy sauce, and oyster sauce, finished with a sticky guava glaze — a teriyaki-adjacent, guava-forward twist perfect for a July 4th BBQ.
I swear this Trader Joe's guava jam has me in a chokehold. My guava-maxxing journey continues with these guava marinated short ribs, perfect for your July 4th BBQ. After seeing some sisters on Red Note use this jam as a marinade for their beef, I had to try it myself — especially since I may or may not have stockpiled way too many jars.
The marinade is simple: guava jam, regular soy sauce, dark soy sauce, minced garlic, and oyster sauce (from Lee Kum Kee, the best brand out there). After grilling, I brush on an extra layer of guava jam and soy sauce to create the most delicious sticky glaze.

The flavor is similar to teriyaki with a subtle guava sweetness that pairs so well with the smoky beef. And of course, don't forget to pair it with some guava nectar and sparkling water for the ultimate guava-filled meal this summer season.
